[live recap] Nü Sensae + White Lung @ an Allston basement space
Vancouver band Nü Sensae perform at Allston basement show 6/23/2011
Halfway through their two month North American tour, WHITE LUNG and NU SENSAE -- both Vancouver-based female-fronted hardcore bands -- made their way to a sweltering Allston basement last night for a show with FOREIGN OBJECTS, ANCIENT FILTH and SKIMASK. White Lung sent the crowd into a Vancouver-like riot of head-banging enthusiasm with their thrashy guitar riffs. Afterwards Nü Sensae, comprised of two members and armed with only a bass, drum and mic, proved you don't need many members or instruments to create a great wall of face-melting sound. The two bands currently have a tour split 7-inch out titled Clown Life available through Deranged/Nominal Records.
If you didn't catch these fierce Canadian exports last night you can see them tomorrow at the Flywheel Arts Center in East Hampton.
In the meantime check out Nü Sensae's video for their track "I'm a Body," directed by Cody Fennell.
