[music video] You Can Be A Wesley "Old In Florida"
So hey, how'd you spend your weekend?
Apparently if you are in a band and were near Brighton, chances are you spent the day Saturday holed up at the crash pad of You Can Be A Wesley, where the uprising indie boys and girl shot a new video for their fuzzy rock jam "Old In Florida." (Full disclosure: the video was directed by Loroto, a production duo comprised of Phoenix contributors Addison A. Post and YCBAW bassist P. Nick Curran.)
In the two-minute/one-take clip, On the Download spies members of Mean Creek and Pretty & Nice while Earthquake Party frontman Justin Lally makes the rounds as the lead gent. It's a pretty sweet clip. Meanwhile, the single "Old In Florida" is the other half of You Can Be A Wesley's latest release, a tidy two-song package that also includes "Talking Science," a former Phoenix Mp3 of the Week from back in October.
Oh and watch out: it's almost NSFW around the 1:54 mark, but we don't think any man-junk, save a pube or two, is actually exposed. We did hear, however, that everyone in attendance at the shoot was treated to full, ongoing views of Curran's pale bare ass. Thankfully, those scenes didn't make the cut.
