1. Nut & Bolt Valentine's Day Mixer | District, Boston

Dudes are presented with a nut at the door, ladies a bolt. (The idea being that for every nut there is a matching bolt. Or, you know, if you don't like his nuts, ladies, better bolt.) Mix, mingle, and try to find yourself a perfect fit. Aside from tool-toting singles, this party also has small bites and cocktails to keep you fortified and lubricated as you search for Mr.

There is so much to love about living in New England during the month of October. People flock from all over to take in our breathtaking foliage. Our world-class football team takes to the field every Sunday. And it's all capped off with a holiday where it's not only excusable to dress like an asshole, but it's actually encouraged.

"We pass over most lines that are presented to us, but we stocked Art Terror by local artist/MassArt grad Gordon Riker immediately because of it's distinctive and intelligent designs. He was killed this year in a bike accident at age 22. I got together with his brother Andrew (he runs local dance party Paper) and Project SF, and hung Gordon's last works and painted a tribute mural.
