Meet the Mayor: Armageddon Records
Welcome to "Meet the Mayor," a segment in which we interview local Foursquare Mayors in
their natural habitats.

Why pay for music
when you can illegally download it for free?
I used to be in bands. Plus, I have a nice stereo at home,
so it's nice to play vinyl on it.
For that matter, why
pay for a zine when the Phoenix is
free?
I'm not really into zines, I guess. I do read the Phoenix,
though. They do sell a lot of zines here. I have some friends who are super
into those.
Cassettes were about
to come back in style. Then they didn't. WTF?
I just started a small label, and we almost exclusively sell
cassettes. They're just so cheap.
Awesome! Except
nobody besides me has a cassette deck.
It's sort of like vinyl. A lot of kids who collect vinyl
don't have a record player. It's a collection thing.
React to this
statement: vinyl is overrated.
I don't think so. I spend a lot of money on vinyl. There's
something about the fact that it's physical, as opposed to digital, when books,
movies, music, and social interaction aren't physical as often as they used to
be.
