CAMDEN

CLASS OF 2012 TRACK "MUSTANGS" [Listen] [Download]

The evolution of Camden over the past few years has seen the crew transform from a tropical, electronic beat haze to a tightly-wound indie rock wildcat. Thankfully, these days the world needs more brash, screaming-guitar indie-rock bands playing fast and loud, and that's when Camden are at their turbo-charged best. July's Totally Fine EP was a three-song suckerpunch led by the 150-second hi-fi sprint of "Mustangs," a track that could have saved the early-2000s garage-rock revival from itself, and it comes as no shock that Jason Sibilia's bratty vocals have received the Ted Leo comparison before. A follow-up 7-inch is set for February, then a new release in spring that includes two previously unissued tracks from the Totally Fine sessions before a full-length next summer. Camden's getting all prolific at just the right time.
