Like cheap knockoffs of designer goods, Alex Gregory and Peter Huyck's excruciating comedy bears a superficial resemblance to the pricey originals it imitates. For example, Jason Sudeikis is the poor man's Ed Helms as Eric, a boor who throws Hangover-style theme parties for his 30-something friends at his father's Hampton Beach summer home. Like the "White Trash Bash" that opens the movie, which one of them criticizes as mocking the poor. What a pretentious dick! He's off the guest list! Luckily, Eric's other friends have no such scruples, especially Mike, played by Jack Black/Zach Galifianakis wannabe Tyler Labine, who is gross, unfunny, and inescapable. In short, you wouldn't want to share an elevator with these people, let alone join them in an orgy. That's what Eric plans for the last big blowout when dad (poor Don Johnson) decides to sell the house. The one to beat for worst movie of the year.
