Tonight’s "Carnevale in Venice" is a fundraiser for local director Cheryl Eagan-Donovan’s upcoming documentary, which will be shot on location in, you got it, Venice. Come in costume: Oberon will be transformed into a Venetian masque of yore, with dancing and DJ Jesse Kaminsky spinning Italian punk and pop. That’s not even the best part: Boston’s own band of whacked-out 18th-century aristocrats, the Upper Crust, will make a rare appearance, to bring some authentic — if agreeably debauched — foppery to the night. Let them eat rock indeed.
