MORE ABOUT ADAM FLAHERTY NOISE MACHINE
The rock outfit known as ADAM FLAHERTY NOISE MACHINE formed in the fall of 2004 after
dozens of Flaherty's solo shows and collaborations with drummer Tom Ash. Since that time,
the band has developed a devoted fanbase in New England and beyond, playing in bars, clubs,
and backyards from Portland to Brooklyn.
In 2004, Flaherty was named Portland's "Best Singer / Songwriter" by the Portland Phoenix,
and in 2005, the band was named Portland's "Best Indie Rock Act." They were also asked to
contribute a song to the Labor Day Records release "Beautiful Locals," an album of Portland
area bands covering songs of other Portland bands.
The genre-defying quartet proudly released the 11 song "GOODBYE SPACEMAN" in August, 2005.
The album documents the band's unique sound and ever-changing style, as well as their willingness
to experiment with sounds and melodies.
